Lavra Lecture: The Future and Philosophy of Anger

  • The Lavra Arroyo Grande, CA U.S.A. (map)

Dr Robert Wallace, Philosophy Department, Cal Poly
It seems that ANGER drives more and more of our public discourse. Very little attention has been paid to the nature of anger: is it always bad? Is it rational or irrational, effective or ineffective? What could politics look like when it is driven by outrage, especially manufactured outrage? Dr Wallace has long been (calmly) thinking deeply about anger. His ideas might just change our ideas about the past and future of this emotion in the public sphere.
