Cob and Plastering Workshop
Over the past month, an intrepid crew of Lavra volunteers led by Chad Franco and organized by our Lavra farm manager Olympe Rabate have been experimenting with earth-bag building. They are creating a special place in the main garden, with bench-style seating. The next phase involves a cob/plastering layer, where clay, sand, and straw are combined to create a durable outer layer. The plastering/cob work will be going on all weekend, so if you are interested in joining this workshop and get hands-on experience in cob and plastering, reach out to Olympe at olymperabate@gmail.com
