An Introduction to the Craft of Ethnobotany
Have you ever wondered how to make use of the various plants that surround us on the Central Coast? Or about the role people have played in their ecosystem, from the first indigenous communites onward? Join farm manager Brandon in an introductory lesson on the many uses of our local native plants, including as food, medicine, etc. Plant samples will be provided by Brandon and attendees can press them during the workshop, creating a crafty piece of art to take home along with their new knowledge of nature’s abundance. Anyone interested in joining on a hike to collect plant samples beforehand can contact Brandon at bhurd.craft@gmail.com.
